Many thanks for stopping by to inquire about becoming a mortgage consultant with Razor Mortgage. Razor Mortgage is licensed in New York & Virginia and a FHA & VA approved correspondent. We maintain active relationships with over 25 banks that we wholesale our loans to. Our office is located in the Greater Binghamton Region right across from the Oakdale Mall in Johnson City.
My name is Jacques Laubert and I am the managing member of Razor Mortgage. I am looking to add full time experienced mortgage consultants. You should be self sufficient, experienced mortgage expert that is looking to expand their production and truly an expert while be well respected in the mortgage industry.
As the mortgage world has been turned “upside down” in the last year we have had our best months ever and continue to grow our originations.
It is my personal belief that as a mortgage expert it is your job to provide guidance and relevant options to the borrower while offering them a selection of mortgage products. These options should be appropriate for their particular situation and fit their needs for today and the future. I am a firm believer in providing the borrower with the right product and not pushing them into a product that is not appropriate just for the sake closing a mortgage.
If you are selected to join the Razor family team you should understand that you are responsible for your production. Razor will provide you with the latest tools including web based administration and follow up systems, but you must make use of them in order to totally benefit from our high degree of investment in technology. Further, we receive and store our faxes and all documents electronically in order to facilitate easy retrieval. I firmly believe that as a mortgage consultant it is your job to meet with the client, have the appropriate forms and disclosures signed and executed, obtain preliminary back up documentation as called for by the underwriting findings and then submit the file to us for processing. At this point you will be hands off and free to move onto your next mortgage with us handling all facets needed to close the mortgage you just submitted. You will only be brought back into the picture if the need arises, and it is an underwriting hurdle that we cannot overcome. This allows you to concentrate on obtaining new business while not being bogged down in processing stage.
If due to distance or your personal choice you choose to work remotely it should be clearly understood that working remotely does not mean working alone. We will always be here to support and work with you to assure that your loan process goes just as smoothly as if you right here. Likewise I consider it a must that you communicate with the office in order to update us on your work and what you need assistance with.
